Madjandji Aboriginal Corporation RNTBC – NIAA funded Indigenous Ranger Program: 2024-2028.
The Madjandji Aboriginal Corporation RNTBC is establishing an Indigenous Ranger Group to deliver on-Country projects that empower the Madjandji people to be self-sufficient and thrive through sustainable employment and development opportunities. This initiative will support the design and implementation of a comprehensive project management plan to protect and care for our traditional lands and waters.
Our key priorities include:
Environmental Stewardship: Protecting and managing significant and endangered flora and fauna, improving water quality, regulating extraction, managing visitor impact, and addressing biosecurity threats.
Cultural Preservation: Safeguarding our cultural identity through strong leadership and intergenerational knowledge transfer, and documenting our rich heritage and significant sites.
Community Empowerment: Creating pathways for economic prosperity, resilience, and independence through meaningful employment for Madjandji people on Country.

Over the past five years, there has been a growing return of Madjandji people to Country. The RNTBC has played a vital role in supporting this movement, offering opportunities for Traditional Owners to build capacity and gain meaningful employment. Through the establishment of this Ranger Group, we aim to continue this momentum and ensure our people, culture, and environment flourish for generations to come.
