Traditional Owner Healthy Water: Great Barrier Reef Foundation Symposium: 2025

Our Madjaybana ranger team attended the 2025 Traditional Owners Grants Gathering, hosted by the Great Barrier Reef Foundation at the Pullman Hotel in Cairns.

This significant event brought together Traditional Owners and other likeminded stakeholders to share knowledge, celebrate achievements, and discuss strategies for preserving the Great Barrier Reef. As part of the gathering, our team presented on the topic of healthy water quality, highlighting our accomplishments and ongoing efforts in this critical area.

It was a proud moment for the ranger team as their presentation showcased the importance of maintaining water quality as a cornerstone for the health of the Reef ecosystem and reflected the team's commitment to supporting sustainable practices. The event provided an invaluable opportunity for the team to connect with other Traditional Owners and other participants, exchanging insights and fostering collaboration. This work further reinforces their role in preserving the reef and its surrounding environments for future generations.
