Madjaybana Rangers Healing Country.

The QLD government Looking after Country Program has provided Madjandji Aboriginal Corporation with funding to help conserve and better manage environmental and cultural heritage in the lower Mulgrave Catchment.

Our Madjaybana Rangers conducted a successful community tree planting event, over 1000 trees were planted on a significant site close to the Mulgrave & Russell River confluence.

Rangers have worked closely with our key partner Mulgrave Landcare & Catchment Group and landholders Franco and Frances Arri to restore the site. Revegetating and stabilising this low land should help reduce sediment and nutrient run off and improve the quality of water flowing through the river system and onto the Great Barrier Reef.

The badge of Madjaybana Ranger features a central wooden mask with a spear and a club, set against a background of mountains, water, and green hills, with the words 'Madjaybana Ranger' in black, yellow, and red borders.
